Whoever thought up the word "Mammogram"? Every time I hear it, I think I'm supposed to put my breast in an envelope and send it to someone.

• As the season is changing, so is the season changing in our lives. It is time to reset ourselves.
• Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this same attitude and purpose and (humble) mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: (Let Him be your example in humility).”
This says to us that attitudes don’t just happen, we choose our attitude. And we have to have the same attitude as Christ Jesus.
• Our attitude determines how much of the future we’re allowed to see.
• Those in the body of Christ must allow God’s glory to shine. This is accomplished through the way we live and through obedience to God’s will. When Jesus taught us to pray, (known as the Lord’s prayer) he said, “Let thine will be done.”
• When the Father requires a sacrifice from us, He’s asking, “Do you love Me, more than this?”
• God not only wants us to respond, He wasn’t us to respond right now. Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
• Amos 3:7 says, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.”
This says to us that God does not hide His will.

Next week, look for highlights from the 10/19 session.

God has a purpose for our lives. He never gives an assignment without giving instructions that he wants us to follow. The close we walk with God the less we will be intimidated. If we as God’s children would humble ourselves and pray and seek his face, nothing would be impossible to us. Once we have made life changing decisions we must protect our minds, seek God with all our heart and walk humbly before Him. Stay close to God and be assured that you will not be threatened. I’ve made up my mind, I’m going to do it God’s way. No matter what path I take or what People say.

Study on Attitudes: October 26, 2009 Class Study

We continued our study on attitudes. We studied how our attitudes should reflect that of our Savior. Philippians Chapter 2 verse 5 tells us, Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility.] Also, 1 Peter Chapter 5 verse 6 tells us, humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God Therefore, that in due time He may exalt you. Also, we must follow God’s instructions (for they are for our protection and promotion) and able to take correction when given.

To prosper, we must have the attitude that we are fully persuaded, meaning, we trust and expect this from the Father. People ask of things from God, however, they are not fully persuaded nor do they want to do what God requires. We have come to know that when we ask God for things, there are always instructions that follow. Ephesians Chapter 3 verse 20 tells us, Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]. The qualifier here is “ask or think”. God can do bigger than what we can ever ask or think. But first, we have to get our attitudes straight. There is breakthrough for the believer but, we must be fully persuaded. We must do it God’s way. We were asked to meditate on Ephesians Chapter 3 verse 20 over the week.

This week lesson is truly inspiring and insightful. For we have come to know from this series on attitude that it is our attitude that will determine our future.

This week, we continued our discussion about attitudes. An attitude is a disposition towards. It shows mood, action, body language. It is an opinion, a state of thinking, a state of mind, a state of feeling and responding.

As this year comes to a close and a we enter a new year, we were asked to ponder and answer, “What is my attitude towards, the future, relationships, money, wealth, health, my body, men, women.”

We have to think and believe. We have to expect God’s blessings and get on track not matter what’s going on.

Psalm 30:5 says that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Hebrews 10:35 says hold on to fearless confidence.

Numbers 21:10-35 had us singing about our situation, “Spring Oh Well,” “Spring Oh Well,” “Spring Oh Well” and the water (that thing we’re believing God for) came.

Just as Jesus wouldn’t allow himself to get distracted (Luke 9:51-53), we can’t allow ourselves to get distracted. We must set our sights resolutely and be fully persuaded. Also, we must be aware of pesty, persistent, relentless enemies (Exodus 17:16)

Finally, we were encouraged by Proverbs 4:25, “Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee”

Now is the time!
